BRMC Recognized for Good Practice
by Joint Commission Resources
Bergen Regional Medical Center, L.P. (BRMC)
has been honored by the Joint Commission Resources
(JCR), an international health care organization,
for providing the highest quality of care for
its patients and residents through good hospital
practices.
The JCR is a medical information organization
that examines and then publishes good hospital
practices based on accreditation, standards
development and compliance, and health care
quality improvement. BRMC techniques will be
featured in the JCR Good Practices Database
to equip health care providers around the world
with new, successful practice methods.
“BRMC takes pride in providing all patients
and residents with medical care that is exemplary
of JCR Good Practices’ standards. Our
staff works diligently to establish treatment
procedures that will ensure the overall well-being
of all they care for,” said President
and CEO, Joseph Gallagher.
Two practices at BRMC, "Therapeutic Recreation
Leadership Competency" and "Assessment
for Risk of Fecal Impaction” will be
published in the database this year. This places
BRMC at the forefront of medical care, making
the center a role model for health care professionals
around the world.
“The practices that our top-tier staff
have worked hard to develop will now help health
care organizations world-wide to improve the
quality of patient care and achieve peak performance,”
said Vice President and Administrator of Long
Term Care Lowell Fein.
BRMC remains committed to developing practices
that keep health care standards to the highest
degree.
