HR INTERN

Bergen Regional Medical Center is currently seeking an HR Intern.  The incumbent will report to the Manager of Benefits and Compensation

The ideal candidate has an great academic record; is articulate, professional, detail oriented, self-motivated, organized, has exceptional organizational/communication, and attention to detail skills, and above all, possesses a positive can-do attitude. Initiative is encouraged and interns can take their roles beyond typical intern duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Benefits and Compensation section of the HR Team on administrative tasks related to benefits audits, customer service and HRIS implementation strategies.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating benefit and compensation file records of all employees as needed
  • Work on various HR team projects

EMPLOYEE HEALTH COORDINATOR/NURSE PRACTITIONER
In collaboration with the Chief Nurse Executive and Director of Special Projects, develop, implement, and evaluate progress towards BRMC’s goals for employee wellness. Act as executive liaison and design nursing processes/interventions for rendering care to staff. Specific accountabilities will include pre-employment physicals, diagnostic tests, treatment plans, employee education, internal communications and health fairs. This resourceful leader will also handle departmental administration duties, such as hiring, budgeting, policy setting and compliance.

Requirements include BSN, MSN, BLS, ACLS, and IV Certification.  Graduation from an approved Nurse Practitioner program and 5 years nursing experience in Ambulatory Care, as well as outstanding communication, clinical, interpersonal and computer skills.

ATTENDING PSYCHIATRISTS – INPATIENT AND OUTPATIENT (F/T AND P/T)
The inpatient psychiatrist will provide evaluations, treatment, family meetings and discharge planning within a multidisciplinary team, and participate in resident training and supervision. The outpatient position includes evaluations, medication monitoring, psychotherapy and resident training and supervision. Weekday and night on-call required; weekend coverage optional.

Must be MD or DO, completed psychiatric residency, NJ licensure, DEA and CDS. Board certification preferred.

ASSISTANT MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES
Provide supervision to Attending Psychiatrists pertaining to Performance/Quality Improvement matters and initiatives pertaining to regulatory compliance.  Provide supervision to unit staff; fulfill administrative responsibilities and develop role of Psychiatry services appropriate to the ages of the patients served.  Provides direct evaluation and treatment services to patients and provides service coordination to assigned caseload.

Current NJ licensure as a Psychiatrist required.  Board certification in Psychiatry. Valid and unlimited license to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey.  Valid license to prescribe controlled substances (DEA and CDS)

6 years of direct clinical experience, including 3 years as a clinical supervisor. Administrative experience preferred. Documented experience in developing and implementing performance improvement projects in the direct clinical setting.

DIRECTOR OF INFECTION CONTROL
Facilitate and coordinate the Infection Control Program to promote high quality care.  Assure compliance with regulations and accreditation standards for infection control. Provide leadership, education and direction by developing goals, objectives and plans, guiding the development of policies, procedures, standards and in-services/workshops.  Requires BSN (MSN preferred), or degree in related field, and three to five years’ experience in Infection Control, including management.  CIC certification from APIC essential.

NURSE MANAGER – LONG-TERM CARE
Responsible for the clinical and operational management of assigned units, ensuring that standards of practice are maintained; participate in developing and implementing departmental plans and programs; provide data and/prepare reports on activities, QA, etc. Requires BSN (MSN preferred).  Minimum 5 years LTC/supervisory experience.  BLS/IV certification required.

PHYSICAL THERAPIST F/T
Use your energy and knowledge to keenly evaluate disability/functionality, organize and conduct the therapeutic program, and treat varied conditions/age groups in an outpatient setting in a varied and a team-focused approach. NJ Physical Therapy license, Bachelor’s degree and Heart Saver Certification required.  

RN BUSINESS ANALYST F/T  
Independent, self-directed RN to facilitate training and implementation of EMR applications. Strong communication skills required; Critical Care/Med Surg background, teaching/precepting experience and BSN/MSN preferred.

ASSISTANT DIRECTORS OF NURSING – ACUTE - PER DIEM-FLEXIBLE SHIFTS
Responsible for the clinical and operational management of a specific Nursing division, ensuring that standards of practice for nursing and patient care are maintained; participates in developing departmental plans and programs as required; collects and provides data on unit activities, QA issues, and staff inservices, as required. Current NJ licensure as RN required. BLS/ACLS required. IV Certification required. At least one year Med/Surg and Critical experience. One year management experience.

CRITICAL CARE RNS - PER DIEM
Responsible for the total nursing care of assigned critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Units. Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and other health team members to formulate a plan of care and performs all duties of the staff nurse. Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of Nursing; NJ RN license; BSN preferred. At least one year of Critical Care experience is essential along with current BLS, ACLS and IV certification.

ACUTE MED/SURG RNS - PER DIEM
Responsible for the total nursing care of Acute Medical/Surgical patients including assessment, treatment, observation and documentation. Providing comprehensive patient care also involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team and orienting patients and families. Requirements include graduation from an accredited school of Nursing, NJ RN licensure and BLS and IV certifications, with 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
