Kathleen Divers Receives Patient Safety Certification
Kathleen Divers of Bergen Regional Medical Center Receives Certification in Patient Safety
(Paramus, NJ) Kathleen Divers, Associate Vice President of Quality and Outcomes Management at Bergen Regional Medical Center (BRMC), has been awarded the Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) credential by the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety.
Recipients of the CPPS credential demonstrate proficiency with planning and implementation of patient safety initiatives including risk identification, system design, and the ability to assess and manage external influences on patient safety.
Divers has more than twenty-five years of experience working in hospitals in the tristate area. She joined BRMC in 2007 as the Regulatory Compliance and Risk Manager. In 2009, Divers was promoted to Associate Vice President of Quality and Outcomes Management where she oversees regulatory and accreditation compliance and hospital initiatives to improve patient care and safety.
Divers is nationally certified in Quality Management and Infection Control and is also a member of the Association of Healthcare Quality Professionals and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
